Tech and Teach
Assistive Technology is part of every classroom, providing faculty with exceptional tools that help address the different learning styles within the school allowing students to make academic strides. However, we do not see it as a substitute for good teaching.
Assistive Technology is used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional capabilities for those with learning differences.
TWS Online Community
At TWS, students have access to online classroom activities with the ability to complete and submit assignments, take quizzes, and communicate with their teachers. Our parent community is key to our success, and are also part of this online community between the students and teachers in addition to having access to their own community of TWS parents.
The Library@TWS is open to all students, faculty and parents throughout the school year. Students have weekly class visits with access to a vast collection of books and resources. Younger students participate in fun and engaging story telling sessions whilst older students share what they have read or are currently reading with their peers. We know our students interests and every student can expect title recommendations from the school’s Librarian.
The school’s library portal Destiny Quest, lists all the books available for loan. This can be accessed on the school website.
Online books @ Tumble Books Library is also a great additional resource. It features a wide array of picture books, graphic novels, related games and activities and read along options. This collection can be accessed through multiple devices easily.
